ABOUT ME.

I believe in a collaborative approach to functional medicine.

You know your body, I know the medicine. Together, we can work towards achieving your health goals with a plan that is specific to you.

My approach is always to discover the root cause of your complaints and work to resolve them. The foundation will always be diet and lifestyle with support from herbs, supplements, and acupuncture.

My mission is to teach and empower you to take control of your health and get long-term results.

Let's work together to achieve your best health!

More details.

I have always been passionate about helping people.

The path that brought me to medicine started with my own digestive health concerns. I went through various tests and various doctors only to be told that there was nothing wrong with me. I was diagnosed and dismissed and determined to fix the problem on my own

This brought me pursue my Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Western. Along the way I started to make connections between my food, my stress level, and my digestive state. Some foods caused me more issues than others and level of stress was directly related to how sensitive my digestive system was. I was starting to put the pieces together but I still wanted a longer term solution.

I started to develop a vision. An approach to health that aimed to discover and treat the root cause of your symptoms instead of simply suppressing them. An approach where the focus begins with nutrition and lifestyle before interfering with your body's natural system. This brought me to Naturopathic Medicine. I went on to earn my Doctor of Naturopathy from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.

Today, I am providing care in the Halton area and while I am passionate about digestive health, I also treat a variety of other conditions including Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Endometriosis, PCOS, Fertility, and Menopause.

What to Expect.

Healing is a journey.

You have to be willing and ready to put in the work but I will be there with you at every step of the way!

Your first visit will be about 60-90 minutes and I will ask you LOTS of questions. I want to know the whole story to determine where the start of your problems began and how we can work to resolve them.

We will go at your pace and your style but expect dietary and lifestyle recommendations to start with. I promise my goal is not to take away all your favorite foods but rather I want your food to fuel you rather than hinder you. Diet and lifestyle are the foundation and this is why you can expect long-term results.

I am passionate about teaching and I want you to understand how your incredible body works and why I am making every single recommendation. I encourage you to ask questions at every step of the way. This is a team approach.

I also incorporate nutritional supplements, herbal medicines, and acupuncture into your treatment plan as needed. These are generally gearing at supporting and shifting your body's natural functioning rather than simply suppressing your concerns.

I am not a replacement or alternative to your family doctor but rather I work with your current healthcare team to enhance and improve upon the current care you are getting. The more people you have working with you on your health, the better you will feel.

Ready to start feeling better? Let's get started.
